The ‘Hawk Tuah’ Spitter Who Targeted Boise State Suspended This Week
While Boise State's football team is hoping to build off of a win against Colorado State next week and slide into a Mountain West Championship Game, the Colorado State Rams are preparing for a game that is going to present a different look.
Their quarterback, Darius Curry, won't be playing.
Unlike Boise State--who has their QB benched for an injury, the Rams of Colorado State will have a perfectly capable quarterback on the bench, suspended for poor behavior.
It was the 'hawk tuah' heard around the nation. Darius Curry spit onto a Boise State football player on live, national television and the internet came unglued on the poor sportsmanship.
Since the incident, officials at Colorado State University 'reviewed the tape' and released apologies to Boise State and their fanbase. They also guaranteed action be taken--which this week, will mean a suspended Darius Curry as Colorado State takes on Air Force.
The Rams aren't bowl eligible, so, the team doesn't have much to look forward to past this game. Hopefully, their backup quarterback has a little bit more class.
