Boise Airport’s Most Popular Airline Just Added a Fee You’ll Hate

If there's one thing that travelers out of the Boise Airport can say, it's that our 'little' airport is quite clean and quite streamlined. Unless you're showing up a little 'too close for comfort' on a busy travel day, it's easy to get in and out of our airport and often times, there are no issues--even in the thick of winter!

Getting around the country? That can prove ore difficult.

The number of direct flights in and out of the Boise Airport are often limited to regional hubs, such as Salt Lake City, Seattle, and Minneapolis.

One exception? Southwest Airlines--who seems to be a favorite out of the Boise Airport and offers the most direct flights to the most unique destinations across the west--spanning as far as Chicago!

The 'low-cost' airline isn't just a fan favorite out of Boise because of routing--it's a favorite because of price.

One the the best ways to save on travel with Southwest? They don't charge for checked bags! At least...they didn't.

For tickets purchased on or after May 28th, bags no longer fly free for Southwest Airlines--a change that comes for the first time in over 50-years. For a family that is traveling, this may be a difference maker to shop around on flight prices a bit more.

Those with the Southwest Credit Card can still fly one bag for free. There will also be free bags for A-List Preferred members.
