30 of the Boise Area’s Top Rated Restaurants for 2023
For the past four years, we’ve welcomed the new year by looking at which restaurants in the Treasure Valley are rated the BEST of the best by actual people who have visited them. Here is a look at the top contenders as we enter 2023.
Putting this list together is always fun, because it truly gives you a little bit of everything. Fine dining, sushi, Italian, coffee shops, seafood, barbecue. There’s really something on here to satisfy every craving…and every budget!
Here are a few things we noticed while putting together while compiling the list for this year.
There Are Fewer Restaurants in the Boise Area Than a Year Ago
To put together our list, we looked at the “Top 10 Best restaurants in Boise, Meridian and Eagle based on Trip Advisor’s rating programs that ranks restaurants based on their star rating and number of reviews from actual people. (These ratings are NOT based on paid sponsorships.)
Heading into 2023, there were 55 fewer restaurants in Boise, 14 fewer in Meridian and two fewer in Eagle. This is a great time to remind you that many of the restaurants on this list are locally or regionally owned. If you see one that grabs your attention, please give it a try. Your support means a lot to these small business owners after what’s been a challenging few years. Many of the businesses that closed in the Boise area in 2022 were restaurants.
New #1 Restaurants in Boise and Eagle
This is the fourth year that we’ve compiled this list and two restaurants had a stronghold on both Boise and Eagle. Not any more!
In Boise, a dark horse that wasn’t even in the Top 10 last year leapt to the #1 spot, toppling the former three-year title holder. In Eagle, there was a shuffle between last year’s #1 and #2. Who came out on top this time around? Without further ado…here’s this year’s list!
