If you're trying to clean up the house before you have guests or your spouse comes home, it's so easy to just grab anything that looks like clutter and throw it in the trash, but doing this could get you in big trouble with the law!

Remember the party that you had in college? I'm not talking about the nerdy birthday party you threw for your lame roommate. I'm talking about the one that you were afraid the cops would show up at. The next morning, you probably broke even more laws cleaning up the party that could have gotten you arrested.

Just like in real life, trying to clean up the mess can get you as much trouble as the mess itself. No, the cleanup probably won't land you in jail, but throwing away the things on our list could get you a misdemeanor and fines that could have been easily avoided if you were just willing to take the time to throw it away the right way.

The biggest problem with this list is that a lot of people throw these things away without even thinking twice about it. When the television at our house went out, I loaded the old one into the car to get rid of it, but my wife, who was sick of seeing it in the car after a few days, decided to drop it in a dumpster somewhere. I'm sure the guilt will eventually catch up to her, but it hasn't yet.
