There are some pretty interesting, unique and amazing homes in the state of Idaho. We have tons of castles, a potato hotel, a dog shaped hotel a house shaped like a boot and oh so many more impressive and creative dwellings in the gem state. Some Idaho homeowners have found surprises in their homes after they moved in. That is what happened to this Idaho Falls family a few years ago. They got a big surprise that started with a big bang!

About five years ago, The Bush family in Idaho Falls woke up to a loud noise. Really loud. They woke up, took a look around but didn't notice anything amiss in the home so eventually went back to bed. The next morning, they went out to the garage and were shocked to find a massive hole in the floor.

Brittany Bush told East Idaho news, "I was holding onto the garage door and looked down and just started screaming. I'm like, 'Our whole garage is sunk down!'"

Things got even more interesting with this situation.

What did the garage cave into? A hidden room underneath what WAS their garage floor. This secret room had not been entered in or had eyes laid on it in decades. A few old toys, hair curlers, a woman's handbag, and a letter on dust covered on shelves. According to the Daily Mail, "The letter was addressed to Melaleuca: The Wellness Company, an online wellness shopping club founded in 1985 by Frank Vandersloot."

Brittany continued "Our home was built in the '50s and it was built as a basement home, then someone came in the '70s and remodeled it and added the second story."

The house in question is located at 2679 W Palouse Street and will set you back a cool $650,000. At 3,613 square feet, it's actually a better value per square foot than the cheapest and much smaller home on the market in Boise. It was built in 1949, but very much feels like it's stuck the '70s.
