We all know the names and faces of our favorite Hollywood stars. We even know the names and faces of our least favorite Hollywood stars. Cartoon voiceover artists have a pretty cool job. They are in the entertainment industry. They may not be millionaires, but they can do something they love without having to do the regular nine-to-five with the co-workers stealing food from the fridge and the micromanaging boss that destroys the office culture. While their voice might be famous worldwide, they can still go anywhere without being recognized.

Idaho has a surprising number of these celebrities that walk their dog down our streets, take their kids to school at the same ones our kids attend, and shop at the same Albertsons that we do, yet no one knows that while we go to work for the man, they go back home and become superheroes, fairy-tale princesses or cute or funny animals that our families enjoy on a daily basis.

Cartoon voiceovers might sound like an easy job, but nothing could be further from the truth. You have to create unique personalities with unique voices for sometimes multiple characters that often have to interact with each other. They have to be able to convey emotions and sound unlike anything else.

The magic of the cartoon voiceover industry was highlighted in a documentary called "I Know That Voice." It highlighted voices from various animated productions and the people behind them. One of those is Idaho's own Bill Fagerbakke, better known as Patrick Star's voice from the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise.

So, how many of these cartoon characters have voices from the Gem State?
