Magical Christmas River in Idaho Worth the Drive from Boise?
The answer? Absolutely. If you love seeing Christmas lights, then you can’t miss this mystical and magical attraction right here in Idaho.

Village Lights at The Christmas River in Menan, Idaho, is open from December 9th to December 23rd (excluding Sundays, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day). Here's their Facebook post announcing opening day!
How awesome is that? It snowed just in time for their opening day, making it even more magical.
What is so fascinating, though, is this beautiful Christmas river attraction actually started a few years ago as a haunted attraction, The Haunted River. The Haunted River is still something they do every year for Halloween, but when it's December, the whole place turns to CHRISTMAS. And it's not just lights and decorations... they capture the whole feeling of Christmas by also providing comfort and warmth via hot chocolate, warm pretzels, mini donuts and more.
According to their website, "Entry fee includes a walk through the festive village square, homes, and trails. Santa is included with the ticket price and will be here along with his helpers! You can also find Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Christoff, Jack, and the Grinch! Bundle up and come take a winter stroll through the village! The trails will be lit with rustic lanterns, guiding your way."
